The Plantation is a master-planned community in Fort Myers, Florida consisting of two neighborhoods, by Pulte Homes. Construction started in 2006 and it’s still underway. This gated community will have 2,200 homes including attached villas, carriage homes, and single-family homes, once it’s completed.
The Plantation is open to residents of all ages, however active adults especially enjoy the lifestyle and amenities. Residents of The Plantation enjoy access to an 18-hole golf course and club, two clubhouses and many floor plans with single-level living.
The Plantation has two separate neighborhoods within: Somerset and Bridgetown. Somerset has single-family homes and carriage homes and Bridgetown has attached villas and single-family homes. The carriage homes are attached homes ranging from 1,654 to 2,464 square feet with two to four bedrooms; they have a two-car garage. The villa homes range from 1,557 to 1,809 square feet with two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. The single-family homes range from 1,641 to 3,197 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a two or three-car garage.
AMENITIES
With this community, there are three amenity centers. The Great House clubhouse is 38,000 square feet and provides members access to the 18-hole championship golf course and driving range. This clubhouse has an outdoor terrace that overlooks Sunset Lagoon; there is also a main dining room at the Dartington’s Restaurant & Bar, a banquet room, an outdoor terrace, and walking and biking trails.
In Bridgetown, there is a 9,000 square-foot clubhouse called Bridgetown Hall. This center has a fitness center, six tennis courts, a basketball court, 2 bocce ball courts, a resort-style pool and spa. There is also a sauna, locker rooms, card room, billiards, a tennis pro shop, and a library.
The Somerset neighborhood has an 11,670 square-foot clubhouse. Somerset Hall has six outdoor tennis courts, a pool, sauna, massage room, locker rooms, a tennis and golf pro shop, billiards, aerobics room, meeting rooms, and a library.
This community is not age-restricted and offers a lot of different clubs and activates that are great for an active adult, including: bridge club, cooking club, pickleball, aqua fitness, yoga, Zumba, poker, fishing, bible club, and tennis and golf enthusiasts.
