Gulf Harbour Yacht and Country Club is a popular gated community located on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers. This is a luxurious community with many activities for people to keep busy and enjoy their time in the neighborhood.
The homes in this community were built from 1985 to 2010 by different builders, include: WCI Communities, Pulte, and Arthur Rutenberg. There are 1,616 in this community in 22 different neighborhoods. The condominiums exist in low-rise and high-rise buildings. Their sizes range from 1,000 square feet to over 3,000 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two to four-and-a-half bathrooms, and dens. These condos come with have assigned parking. From many of the condos, residents have incredible views of the Gulf Harbour Marina, the Caloosahatchee River, and the Gulf of Mexico. The coach homes are available as four units per building, and most of these homes have an attached two-car garage. These homes range in size from 1,700 square feet to 2,600 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two to three bathrooms. The detached villa homes are like single-family homes, but have a common area that the association maintains. These villas range from 1,049 square feet to 1,600 feet in size with two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an attached two-car garage. Single-family homes range from 1,600 to 5,700 square feet with two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and a two or three-car garage. These homes have second-floor living areas, lanais, hot tubs, and pools.
Association fees (HOA fees) cover community security, upkeep of the roads, and landscaping. Some neighborhoods’ fees even include the yard work or maintenance of common areas.

At Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club, members have access to a magnificent 30,000 square-foot clubhouse that overlooks the Caloosahatchee River. The clubhouse houses the restaurant, Johnny Brown’s, which offers a casual dining atmosphere with delicious food. The members’ dining room is more of a formal atmosphere that overlooks the marina.
In the community, members can also enjoy an 8,000 square-foot spa and fitness center; the center has cardio and weight machines, an aerobics and dance studio, personal trainers, and a junior Olympic-sized pool. There are more than 30 fitness classes offering on a weekly basis (yoga, rumba, boot camp). People also have access to a full-service spa that offers services like massages, facials, and manicures.
Gulf Harbour is definitely a great place to be for those that love being active. The community’s tennis program is one of the most accomplished in the area with eight lighted hydro-grid courts. Certified tennis professionals are there for advice and training to members. There are more than 22 tennis teams for people of every level. Along with tennis, Golf Harbour boasts a semi-private 18-hole championship golf course. It was designed by Chip Powell and includes an aqua driving range and practice putting greens. There is a pro shop and PGA experts for a full golfing experience. There are many tournaments and events held throughout the year.
