Casa Del Lago is a Fort Myers gated community that is located across the street from the Cypress Lake Nature Preserve, a park that spans over 2,000 acres. This community has no age restrictions. The homes within this community were built from 1997 to 2006.
The preserve has miles of nature walks and educational seminars given by the local park rangers. There is a 1.2-mile-long boardwalk, amphitheater, observation decks, picnic areas, and gardens to enjoy within the preserve. Many species of birds, otters, alligators, turtles, butterflies, and more make the preserve their home throughout the year.
There are 197 single-family homes throughout this beautiful and private community. The homes range from 1,735 square feet to 3,092 square feet. Homes range from two to five bedrooms with two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and two-car garages. Roughly, half of the homes within Casa del Lago have a swimming pool. In this community’s homeowner’s association (HOA), homeowners pay fees that cover common-area landscaping, basic cable, and in-home security monitoring. Homeowners also pay a property owners association (POA) fee that covers costs to maintain 31 acres of wildlife preserves surrounding the homes.
